Let’s meet Backcountry
Backcountry was a genuine labor of love, started by lifelong friends Jim Holland and John Bresee in a garage in Utah. They initially sold avalanche protection gear but rapidly expanded their product line, growing at an almost unprecedented rate for 15 years. By joining the online retail revolution in its early days and subsequently keeping offering their products exclusively on the web they’ve developed a highly effective business model that the outdoor recreation community instinctively know and trust.
